Follow this beginner-friendly guide to make your first purchase
Go to Coinbase.com and click "Get Started" to create your account. You'll need to provide your name, email, and create a strong password.
Use a password manager to generate and store a strong, unique password for your Coinbase account.
Coinbase requires ID verification for security. You'll need to upload a photo of your government-issued ID and take a selfie.
Link your bank account or debit card. Bank transfers are usually free but take 3-5 days. Debit cards process instantly but have fees.

For maximum security, set up 2FA using an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Authy.
Important: Never share your 2FA codes with anyone. Coinbase will never ask for them.
